After three years of college (I was about to say hard work but it will make me so guilty), I finally was able to graduate, and by God's grace and blessings I was able to achieve a bonus. Graduating as Magna Cum Laude is such one great blessing from God! God is really working and He has been so great in my life. I can hardly imagine to be able to make it without Him helping me. Indeed, God's plan is the best for me. I had a hard time during my first year in college, not by adjustment nor the academic load, but by some reason that will take me a year to tell.
I believe one of the most important accomplishment that I was able to attain during my three years as a biology student was the new friends that I have had. It is really hard to find real people in the Ateneo community, where you can encounter such of different personalities - most I cannot understand. There were so a lot of first times for me when it comes with dealing with such people. The most people that I have encountered, which I am disappointed the most were the tagged 'user-friendly.' They are those who seem so friendly when they need something, and then stab you at the back when they do not need you anymore, or they don't like you anymore. As if I'd care.
Thank God I've found real friends who helped me to like the place where I was forced to be in. And through time, I was able to know more my classmates. Too bad, our graduation was already near when we had those bonding moments. I will miss them all.
But I miss my dad the most. He'll be back in December, which is nine months from now. It is my first graduation when he is not around. He is usually the one who escorts me during the major events in my life. Now, he's not here. Kinda makes me teary as of the moment...
Hmmm... I just have to make some entries for what had happened to me last week. March 19, 2007, I went to school to get my toga. I worked out Bee's project, and brought it to him at 11. We had lunch together at Chowking in the new Times Square (the name seems to foreign). After that, I did some computer work, and attended our first graduation practice at AdDU Sports Complex in Matina.
March 20, 2007, I was tasked by my mom to pay all our bills. I came in late for Ate Krissy's blow-out. She treated us (Joanna, Kae, Lenz, Loue, and I) at Bigby's. We underestimated the size of each order that we had a very hard time eating them all. We feel so weak after the meal (hehehe). After that very long lunch, I went to my appointment. I came in late but thank God, I did not take long in there for me to miss the call time for our second graduation practice.
March 21, 2007, I was scheduled to do my hair make-over (as if I had that schedule). It took a very long time, making me late for our class pictorial at New Jersy Studio in NCCC Mall,
since I still need to pick-up my toga at my mom's office. Because of this, I was not able to eat my lunch. Kiel voluteered to give us a ride to AdDU High so we made it on time. It was our general rehearsal and I was so pissed when we took an hour or two practicing for the baccalaureate. We finished our graduation practice by 7:30PM. After that, Kriselle, Joanna, and I proceeded to Chippens Restaurant. We contacted Kae and Loue... Since we have no other free time, Joanna and I decided to combine powers and make it our treat for the barkada. Then, the five of us went to Joanna's home for our sleep-over. It was sooo full of fun. Although Loue and Kae still need to study for their exam the next day, we still had fun since they actually don't bother with the exam (kinda not too good, hehehe).
March 22, 2007 is our free day. Loue and Kae, went home early. Kriselle and I remained in Joanna's home watching cartoons. We went home by 4PM.
March 23, 2007 is our Baccalaureate Mass. Weeee! It's actually my first time to attend a Baccalaureate Mass! I'm not so excited about it. If not for the hooding ceremony, I would not actually bother to attend it considering that non-Catholics are not required to do so. But before the mass, we had our class picture. Since, the MedBios from the medical school had their final exams that day, the five of us (Kriselle, Tal, Aileen, Joanna, and I) were the only ones present. Only Joanna and I attended the Baccalaureate Mass.
March 24, 2007 is the big event. I woke up so early, took a bath, and of course clothe myself (hehehe). What makes that last part significant is that it is my last time to
wear my Ateneo uniform. When I reach the AdDU Matina Campus, Karlo is the first person that I saw. He hugged and congratulated me. I had some picture-taking with my fellow NS&M friends. I did not eat breakfast because I felt not eating at that moment. The graduation went well. It was totally the same during the practice except that we had the proper attire and the big crowd. My auntie was able to enter to watch me even without the gate pass. After that very significant event in my life, Joanna and I had picture-taking. Then, my auntie treated me at Cubyertos. There were so many foods that she ordered that I was not able to taste them all. After that very delicious lunch, we had a family picture (minus my dad) at New Jersy Studio at Victoria Plaza.
March 25, 2007, we went to church. Then, we had grocery to but the things that we need for my graduation party. 5PM, Karlo arrived. Then, Jandee, Erika, Teresa, and Tyronne came in. Vlady, Kuya Rodel, Racy, Veron, Kakai, Honey, Alden, Mich, Benj, Cyril, Warren, Mavy, and Asria came next. Noewen came very late. Dean came minutes after Noewen's arrival. We had a very great party. My oh my! They're so noisy, as usual. It was so much fun! Badsaintz08 really rocks! Although the final exams in UP and in SPC will be the following day, they were still present for me and for the food (hehehe). Thank you so much guys for coming!
Wow! There were indeed so many things that happened to me! I really love to cherish all these memories.
THANK YOU SO MUCH LORD GOD FOR EVERYTHING!
