How many kidneys do you have? Two, right? Well, you may also have heard of people who live with only one kidney...

Have you ever seen a horseshoe kidney? I cannot say much about this particular congenital anomaly as of now because I haven't read about it yet. But I saw one particular source saying that this particular abnormal fusion of the two kidneys occurs to one in every 500 people. Fusion of the kidneys!!! Hmmm... Quite interesting. It's not actually that when we once saw it, we immediately arrived at the conclusion that they kidney of our cadaver is actually a horseshoe kidney. Kuya Totits and Kuya Xirx actually had a hard time identifying some blood vessels which actually happened to be anomalous. It was Dr. Valdez and Dr. Derla who actually told us that we got a horseshoe kidney. ^o^

A little anatomical description of the kidney that we got would be... The hilum of these kidneys are not located at the level of L1. It seemed that they have not ascended during its embryological development. The inferior portion both kidneys is at the bifurcation of the abdominal aorta. Their hilum is located anteriorly, instead of the normal medial location. Moreover, they have an anomalous artery that branched directly from the abdominal aorta. Weird! Well, it seems Kuya Cady, the name of my group's cadaver, has a lot of surprises for us after all!

Oh no! Delbry, sa lahat ng mga Parts ng body....takot talaga ako makakita ng mga LAMAN LOOB ng TAO ... especially itong nakita ko sa FIRST PIC. dito ...ayayay !!! Kaya di ako nag NURSE no ! makabalik unta mi ug view oie..
gusto ko talaga makastay ng longer sa cadaver section
para mastudihan jud ang mga parts kaso..
